ABOUT THE BOOK: The Hematoi descend from the unions of gods and mortals, and the children of two Hematoi-pure-bloods-have godlike powers. Children of Hematoi and mortals-well, not so much. Half-bloods only have two options: become trained Sentinels who hunt and kill daimons or become servants in the homes of the pures. Seventeen-year-old Alexandria would rather risk her life fighting than waste it scrubbing toilets, but she may end up slumming it anyway. There are several rules that students at the Covenant must follow. Alex has problems with them all, but especially rule #1:Relationships between pures and halfs are forbidden. Unfortunately, she's crushing hard on the totally hot pure-blood Aiden. But falling for Aiden isn't her biggest problem--staying alive long enough to graduate the Covenant and become a Sentinel is. If she fails in her duty, she faces a future worse than death or slavery: being turned into a daimon, and being hunted by Aiden. And that would kind of suck.
MY REVIEW:
Oh. My. Gods. (You will understand the Gods part when you read the book.) That was an AMAZING book. The world that Armentrout has created is very unique and interesting! I was so sad that I couldn't read it all in a day due to having to read the diver manual, which I put off the last twenty or so pages to finish this.
The beginning of the book picks up right where the last one left off. Alex is ready to fight of diamons as they close in on her, but through a strange stroke of luck the one guy, the one pure-blood she dreamed about ever since she left the covenant, comes swooping in to save the day. The only reason I told you this part is because it is pretty obvious the diamons don't eat her aether because the book just started. But you won't believe what kind of relationship brews between them later on and that's not throwing in everything else that turns Alex's world upside-down.
Over all the book is action packed with some romance thrown into the mix and I couldn't get enough of this book!!!! I suggest you go get a copy if you don't already have one!!!
The one and only thing bad about this book, well not nescisarily this book but the whole series is that the next one is not out yet!
